A dog viciously attacked and injured multiple people in Lamar, Colorado on September 25, 2025. The dog, which appeared to be a pit bull mix, was seen leaving its owners’ property. The dog then attacked a dog that was on a leash in a nearby yard. The leased dog’s owner stepped in and was attacked by the pit bull mix.
Two parties attempted to assist the situation, successfully stopping the attack by killing the dog. Unfortunately, the dog that was attacked by the pit bull mix died due to its injuries. The dog’s owner was charged with various municipal and state violations related to the attack, including dog at large, failing to ensure the pit bull was spayed or neutered as required by law, and unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog resulting in serious bodily injuries.
