A 27-year-old snowboarder fell off the Montezuma Express chairlift at Keystone Resort on November 13, 2025. He was transported to a nearby medical facility after the fall. The Montezuma Express lift is a 6-person high-speed lift that stretches 1.3 miles with approximately 1,700 feet of vertical gain.
Per the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board, Keystone’s investigation is ongoing. Details related to why the fall occurred have not been released. Details related to the extent of the injuries were not addressed by a Keystone Resort spokesperson.
